Slade Stanley easily won the World Series Jet Sprint Championship, using a 400 custom Chevy small block by Moe Engines. He used Greg Merciers Boat called AZ-U-DO as the b team. This means the engine copped twice the punishment over the grueling four day racing event. Fierce competition from USA and New Zealand was encountered but the tracks were long and big horsepower prevailed. Slade won the first leg with Greg Mercier a close second and Rex Briant (KIWI) 3rd.The second leg was again won by Slade with Rex Briant (KIWI) ex world Champion 2nd and USA 3rd and Greg Mercier 4th. Making the overall points Slade 1st Rex 2nd Greg 3rd. Moe engines also finished fifth with Aussie Champion Ken Kesper again running a 400 Moe Engines custom. Backing them up was Jim Bailey in 7th place with another Moe Engines Powerplant. Next Moe Engines Attack will be the aussie championship as Ken Kesper defends his title.
